“Kinfolk Spirits” by Erin Williams

Whitefish Pottery and Stillwater Gallery are excited to present, Kinfolk Spirits, an exhibition of work from ceramic artist Erin Williams.

Erin is the current apprentice for Whitefish Pottery. Erin is originally from Mayville, KY and in 2017 she earned her undergraduate degree in Pre-Art Therapy and Studio Art with a concentration in Ceramics from the University of Indianapolis. While in school, Erin discovered a passion for pottery and throwing on the wheel. This show is from her time apprenticing for Whitefish Pottery, in which she has focused on the connections she has had with her environment and the people who have made an impact on her. Kinfolk Spirits is the result of those connections that she has reflected on while being away from home. Her Kentucky roots directly influence most of the work with special attention to the functionality form.

Please join us in celebrating Erin Williams in an opening reception Thursday August 1st, 6 – 9:00 PM in conjunction with Whitefish’s First Thursday’s Gallery Nights. This show will run through the month of August. August 2019 Poster
