Group B Galleries is featuring work by the Whitefish photographer Amy Boring in September. Amy has been a portrait photographer since 2007 and specializes in documenting energetic familial connections. While she specializes in people, when her camera turns to other subjects she still manages to capture the living spirit of whatever becomes the focus. You will see quite a bit of sun flare in her work. It is intentional and 100% in camera.
Originally from Southern California, 4th generation born and raised, Amy landed in Whitefish to visit a friend on a road trip through the National Parks in the summer of 2017, stayed a month, and met many long time locals serendipitously and decided to return in January to see if she could hack the snow. Turns out she loves the snow, and is grateful to have the opportunity to have artwork available to hang in people’s homes that remind them of the magic that is Whitefish, Montana.
Amy is currently partnered with the Glacier Park Conservancy to create historical photo documentation of the Sperry Chalet rebuild.
