Daniel Foust is a digital painter from Charlotte, North Carolina. His work features fantasy subjects and elements, taking inspiration from classic fantasy artists like John Howe and Ted Nasmith, as well as the darker imagery of current digital painters such as Noah Bradley and Peter Mohrbacher. His paintings stem from personal experiences or fantasies, and depict scenes of complete imagination as well as real figures slightly altered from the norm.
“Figments is a collection of my personal work, featuring a variety of subject matter. Every painting has an element of the unreal, ranging from the subtly changed to the totally fantastical. They combine the mundane and the amazing, and reflect both personal experiences and fantasies. Many of the portraits are of close friends, and explore my own interpretations of them and their characters.” Daniel Foust
