Stumptown Art Studio’s popular Annual Spring Show & Ice-Cream Social takes place on Thursday, May 4 from 6-9 p.m. during the first-of-the-season Whitefish Gallery Night. This family event features Stumptown Art Studio’s students with an amazing display of drawing and painting, sculpture, clay and mixed media works of art. At the reception everyone is also invited to create their own unique ice-cream treat, made with the fabulous ice-cream donated by Sweet Peaks.
Located in downtown Whitefish at 145 Central Avenue, the non-profit community art center celebrates its 21st anniversary year. Founded in 1995 as “a place where children and adults may come to express their inherent creative nature, learn about the world of art …enriching the community and beyond”, the center offers classes and workshops for all ages and abilities, a community clay cooperative, local artwork for sale and many service programs. Exhibitions feature guest artists, local artists and emerging artists year-round and especially from May-October as part of Whitefish Gallery Nights.
Available on a walk-in basis is pottery painting, glass fusing and mosaic-making anytime during open hours. Monday – Saturday 10 a.m.-6 p.m. and Sundays noon-5 p.m. After hours private parties for groups and birthday parties anytime can also be arranged.
