We are excited to have Betsey’s artwork in our shop for the month of June!

Betsey Hurd grew up in Virginia, where her love of horses and art began. One of her earliest memories is of her mother, who is also an artist, helping her close her hand around a crayon.

From the time Betsey was young, she’s always been a horse girl, and it comes out in her paintings, bronzes, and clay sculptures. Her artistic focus has always been on animals, featuring cows, sheep, dogs, & primarily horses, as they are her passion.

Since graduating from University of Montana with her BFA in ceramics & drawing, she has been a full-time studio artist. She has had her work in shows & galleries across the United States.
