The Purple Pomegranate, a fine craft specialty store, is featuring work by Whitefish jewelry artist, Kris Kramer during the month of June. Kris makes pure-silver, minuscule sculptures that are worn as jewelry. She blends fashionable style into pieces enjoyed by those who want to be a little different.

Kris is a certified Precious Metal Clay (PMC) artisan and senior instructor by PMC Connection, RioRewards Certified by RioGrande, and sole proprietor of Kris Kramer Designs. She considers herself more sculptor than silversmith, sculpting daily in her studio on the north side of Whitefish. Her new lines include an Artisan Earring Series and Montana River Rock Pebble Series. The earrings involve a miniature and dangling element, typically evoking amazement and amusement. She has refined her Montana line to include pebbles of subtle and organic colors, each elegantly wrapped in bands and balls of silver. All her pieces contain at least 40% silver that has been reclaimed from discarded electronics and other industrial waste.

Meet Kris during Whitefish Gallery Night, Thursday, June 5th, 2014 from 6-9 PM. Kris’s work will be displayed during the opening and throughout the month of June.
