Chill Clothing Co is pleased to present photographer, Sydney Gillette, as our guest artist for the month of May.

Sydney grew up in Whitefish, MT and graduated from Whitefish High School in 2011. She currently lives in Missoula as a student in the School of Journalism at the University of Montana. Sydney discovered her interest in the art of photography in high school while attending a photo course at FVCC. In 2012-13 she lived in Milan, Italy as an exchange student. During her year abroad she experimented with the medium and developed a personal aesthetic. She traveled to a number of different countries including Belgium, Austria, Amsterdam and Germany. For Sydney, her favorite way to experience a new place is to photograph it. Documenting from behind the lens created a unique and personal travel experience. She learned the language of photography by noticing and capturing the beauty of common objects. Sydney’s philosophy in living a happy life is focusing on the present and appreciating minute details. Photography is a catalyst for both.
