Stephen Isley will feature the work of Pat Branting at the Whitefish Gallery Night on Thursday, July 7, 2011 from 6PM to 9PM.
Pat grew up loving the outdoors in North Platt, Nebraska. Graduating from the University of Nebraska, she earned a BA in education and an art minor. In 1976 she moved to Bozeman, Montana where she continued to paint and be inspired by the mountains, lakes and rivers. The wildlife present in these settings influences much of her work. Retired from a teaching career of 34 years, she now has more time to paint.
This painting, entitled “Last Light on the River”, is oil on canvas 36″ X 24″ and is available at the gallery.
Pat is passionate about the study of light and the intriguing shapes and patterns created by light. She says light is the key ingredient for each subject, from nature’s little treasures to majestic mountain scenes.
