July 7th Gallery Nights, Going To The Sun Gallery is proud to feature Rob Akey Whitefish Montana artist. From majestic Glacier peaks to the open eastern prairie, his oil paintings evoke empirical truth, beauty and spiritual qualities that define a sense of place and surpass simple protrayal.
A graduate of Minneapolis College of Art and Design and former Creative Director for Tonka Toys, Rob also teaches painting at Flathead Valley Community College and was voted 2008 Best Local Artist in the Flathead Valley (Daily Inter Lake).
